    Fire on Board of Bulk Carrier Aegean Wing      
  Aegean Wing   At 04:00 on board of the bulk carrier "Aegean Wing" fire broke out. the ship is operated by Atlantic Bulk Carriers and after the accodent 9 sailors are missing. The total crew members were 24 and two seamen were wounded and one is dead. The ship built in 1983 carrying 37.000 tons of iron ore. The accodent happened 35 nautical miles from Isle La Blanquilla (Venezuela). The authorities reported that the fire was contained and there is no danger of sinking the ship.the rescue operation was started immidiately, but till that moment no seamen were found...

    Passenger Ship and fishing boat colided in Manila      
  Fantasy Cruise Ships  Colission between fishing boat and passenger vessel in Manila Bay off Cavite. On board of two vessels were 76 persons and 46 from them were rescued, 3 dead and 27 are still missing. The accident happened 2 hours after midnight local time 2.8 nautical miles northwest of Limbones Island. The name of the fishing boat is FB Nathalia, while the passenger ship is MB Catalyn B with 79 metric tons of deadweight. The rescue operations started immidiately after the accident happened and two cargo ships in the vicinity got part from the operation.
  The happened in the place where the fishing boats are making great troubles for ship officers. The navigational lights of the ship are usualy not working according to IMO requirements. this was the main reaosn for the colission in Manila Bay, commented officers of cargo vessels in the vicinity...

    Asian Glory car carrier was hijacked in Somalia      
  Asian Glory  Ship with 26 crew member was hijacked on 650 miles from the coast near Somalia. The ship was carrying cars from Singapore to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The name of the car carrier is "Asian Glory" and the vessel was operated by the company Zodiak Maritime, which was the operator of the 1 week earlier hijacked vessel - St James Park. The capacity of the ship "Asian Glory" is 4.300 units, and on board had crew members from 4 nationalities - Bulgarians, Indians, Ukrainians and Romanians. The vessel is quite large and new ship operated according to the latest IMO and SOLAS requirements and quite interesting is that the vessel was hijacked too far away from the safety distance from the shore. Usualy the maritime security officers claim that 150-200 nautical miles from the shore is safety zone, but "Asian Glory" was attacked on 650 nautical miles from the shore...

    Chemical Tanker Pramoni was hijacked in Somalia      
  Pramoni mv  The Singapore chemical tanker Pramoni was hijacked by Somali pirates in the Gulf of Aden. the ship was sailing to Kandla, India and passing through the dangerous waters of Somalia, when was attacked by pirates. The ship's master reported that the ship was hijacked and added that all the crew is OK, in good mood and health. Motor vessel Pramoni is chemical tanker with deadweight of 19,987 metric tons sailing under the flag of Indonesia. The ship has length of 147.00 meters and beam of 24.00 meters. The size of the chemical tanker is quite large and the ship was fully loaded with cargo. The ship has four nationalities of crew members - Chinese,Indonesian, Nigerian, Vietnamese.  The vessel Pramoni is the fourth vessel hijacked in these waters for the previous week  ...

    St James Park ship was hijacked in Somalia      
  St James Park  Somali pirates hijacked the chemical tanker St. James Park, sailing under the British flag. The ship is chemical tanker carrying hazardous cargo from a port in Spain to Thailand. On board there is 26-member crew, including nationals of Bulgaria, Russia and Turkey. The Pirates have captured the ship in the Gulf of Aden and sailed to Somalia. In the capture of the ship not injured and no weapon was used. Seamen succeeded in connecting with their families immediately after the ship docked in the base of pirates. The pirates group abducted the vessel in the Gulf of Aden, and although there was a French Fregata nearby, the pirates managed to escape.
  The ship was loaded with provisions and water in Spain, is scheduled to sail 20 more days without recharging. This is optimistic for sailors and their medical condition
